Sarah Palin's Secretive Bus Tour Barrels Into Philly

Sarah Palin's bus tour was not so "incognito" as it rolled into Philly Tuesday

Sarah Palin’s strangely secretive bus tour was not so secret as it barreled down the Schuylkill Expressway Tuesday afternoon on its way to the Liberty Bell.

The bus, plastered with patriotic symbols and an image of the U.S. Constitution, was spotted on I-76 by Chopper 10 at about 12:45 p.m.

Palin’s “One Nation” tour was vaguely announced last Thursday, with no specific dates, as her mission to visit historic sites and battlefields along the East Coast. The former governor of Alaska took an “incognito tour” of D.C.’s monuments Sunday night, drove up to Mount Vernon and Fort McHenry, and visited Gettysburg battlefield Tuesday morning.

Palin arrived at the Liberty Bell at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Though many are speculating that Palin’s tour is a publicity stunt in preparation for a presidential bid, she told reporters Monday she was not on the trip as part of any proto-campaign but seeking to illuminate Americans’ knowledge of the country.
