The Penn State Board of Trustees is holding two meetings on Friday. Both meetings take place at the Ballroom of the Nittany Lion Inn on Penn State’s University Park campus. The first meeting lasts from 10:15 a.m. until noon. The second meeting will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Penn State interim President Rodney Erickson is expected to speak at the meeting. Erickson became the school’s president after Graham Spanier was fired from the position in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
The meetings take place in the wake of three town hall meetings with alumni addressing the scandal and the school’s handling of it. During Friday's meetings, trustees are also expected to award contracts for the Pegula Ice Arena, set room and board rates for fall 2012 and award contracts for the school’s Moore and Cedar buildings.
