The Philadelphia Parking Authority finally admitted to what the public has been complaining about for months.

Slews of drivers have claimed that the new(ish) parking kiosks in Philadelphia often won’t take credit cards, leaving them with no way to pay the meter and often resulting in tickets. The PPA finally agreed.

The PPA released a statement Thursday warning the public that “some of the parking kiosks are experiencing technical difficulty processing credit card payments.”

Because of this glitch, the PPA advises anyone who has problems using a credit card at the parking kiosks to bring cash or a PPA smart card.

The PPA says that it is working with engineers and specialists to fix the problem.
