According to the affidavit, during the first robbery, Roccia went into the bank and handed the teller a note stating:

"I HAVE A GUN AND I ALSO TOOK YOUR PIC AND SEND IT TO A FRIEND. SO IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT DYE PACKS DON'T. BECAUSE IF YOU DO, MY FRIENDS WILL PAY YOU A VISIT. YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS MAX TO EMPTY OUT YOUR DRAWER."

Similar demand notes were used in the next three robberies and in all, and the alleged robber made off with $5,442 dollars.

Roccia was arrested last Friday after workers at another bank on Ridge Avenue called police to say a man had just been inside the bank and was acting suspicious. Roccia was spotted by police at a nearby interesection and arrested for an oustanding warrant for parole violation, according to the affidavit.
