Night Intruder Nabbed: Police

A man police say is responsible for a string of brazen break-ins was arrested Friday.

Jason Bonsall, 19, was arrested by New Castle County Police in connection with six Holiday Hills break-ins and one in Chalfonte.

Bonsall prowled the rears entrances of housing communities looking for unsecured doors, authorities said, and then entered the victims' homes.  In some cases, the suspect forced entry, according to police reports.

In all seven of the cases, investigators said the homes were occupied.

New Castle County Police said Bonsall made off with electronic equipment, and in one case, prescription medication.  Having identified Bonsall as a suspect in the burglaries, detectives pulled the man over in a traffic stop.  A search through his 1993 Toyota Corolla property stolen in the burglaries.

Bail was set at $20,250 after Bonsall was charged with numerous counts of burglary and one count of felony theft.
