A man went into a Jenkintown IHOP for a late night breakfast and almost wound up dead.

Police said that Danti Campbell, a man in his 20s, was shot in the leg after an altercation in the pancake house early Sunday.

Authorities said that Campbell had gone into the restaurant with a group of friends shortly before 3 a.m.  Shortly after, according to police, a group of 5 males entered.  Police are not sure of the nature of the dispute between the two groups, but it ended with Campbell fleeing the restaurant, being chased by the second group of men.

Outside the IHOP, Campbell was struck in the leg by a gunshot.  The shooters piled into an SUV and fled the scene, driving south on York Road.  The victim was transported to Abingdon Hospital, where he was treated and released.

According to police, neither the victim nor the witnesses to the crime are cooperating with police.
