Police said they arrested 15 around the city in connection with Saturday's Greek Picnic events.
Once a large annual event in Philadelphia, Greek Picnic's size and organization has diminished over the past few years. Although there were no wide-scale announcements for this weekend's Greek Picnic, small events did take place throughout the city.
Police said the arrests happened at multiple locations.
Greek Picnic started as a celebration for black college fraternities and sororities. However, as the event grew, many youths unassociated with Greek organizations would also join, leading to a rise in crime and arrests during the once weeklong festival.
Philadelphia police told NBC this year's gathering was lower-key than years past and relatively quiet.
