Jailed Man Linked to Wilmington Robberies

Authorities hung two more bank robberies on a man who had previously been arrested for a different robbery.

Wilmington police arrested Lamotte S. Chandler on March 19, on charges of robbing the WSFS Bank on Delaware Avenue in Wilmington.  Chandler, 50, has been in jail since the arrest.

Now authorities believe the is responsible for two robberies that took place at the same bank on Marsh Road.  The Artisans Bank was robbed on Novemeber 24, 2010, and then again on January 17, 2011.

Surveillance video of the robberies show a man using a handgun in the crimes.

Chandler is being held on $95,000 bail for the two new robbery charges.  He is currently being held at the Howard Young Prison.
