PECO May Owe You Money

Check your statements, the utility company says they’ve double charged 17,000 customers.

PECO is urging customers to check their bank statements after a recent error in billing has led to customers being charged twice.

According to PECO spokesperson Cathy Engel Menedez, the billing contractor charged 17,000 customers who have their bill automatically deducted from their bank accounts two times.

Menedez also says that the mistake was made last Thursday and that most of the customers have already been reimbursed.

Still, PECO wants its customers to check their statements for double billing as well as overdraft fees, which will also be reimbursed.
