Korn Ferry, the world’s largest executive search firm, has agreed to acquire Philadelphia-based human resources consultancy Hay Group for roughly $452 million in cash and stock.
Founded in 1943, Hay Group has 3,100 employees spread over 88 offices in 50 countries. It helps clients identify talent, train future leaders, write job descriptions and analyze pay and incentives. It also has data for pay and skill sets for thousands of executives and millions of executives.
According to the latest edition of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Book of Business Lists, Hay Group is one of the largest management consultants and employee benefits firms in the region, with roughly 200 local employees.
