University of Pennsylvania Named One of World's Top 20 Universities

The University of Pennsylvania doesn't just stand up to its Ivy League rivals' level of quality, but now it's being held in the same esteem as Oxford or the University of Toronto.

Penn tied with Yale for the 14th spot on the U.S. News and World Report's new list of the 750 best global universities.

The criteria used to rate the schools placed a heavy emphasis on research, as well as the college's overall reputation.
