Prosecutors: Execs of Sham Philadelphia-Based Investment Firm Stole $1.5M

Two financial investment advisers are facing federal charges for allegedly scheming others out of at least $1.5 million that was spent on hotels, restaurants, jewelry stores and other personal purchases.

On Friday, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced the fraud charges filed against 42-year-old Carl Frederic Sealey and 44-year-old Eric Enge, who courted private investors through their businesses, Global Standard Industries and SEK Industries.

Both Sealey and Enge held executive roles at the private equity investment firm that was headquartered in Philadelphia and New York, the Attorney's Office said.
