Philadelphia-based RJMetrics, an eCommerce analytics company, released a report Wednesday ranking the top startup cities.
Philadelphia did not particularly impress. It ranked 21st in a list of 30 cities in the United States. The analysis was based on meetup group activity.
RJMetrics, which used Meetup’s public API, chose the top 30 cities ranked by meetup group membership, then ranked them by the tech industry density, total number of meetup groups and percent growth in number of meetup groups in 2013.
