Next month, a food truck competition is coming to Philadelphia for the first time, and local vendors say this could potentially be the biggest, most validating one the city has hosted.
On May 9, the Taste of Three Cities food truck festival and competition will be coming to Xfinity Live! in South Philadelphia, with cash prizes of more than $4,000 distributed among winning participants.
Other food truck competitions held in the city have awarded winners with trophies or plaques, but local vendors say the Taste of Three Cities’ monetary rewards speak volumes for the mobile vendor community.
