Award-Winning Philly Chef Hurt in Amtrak Derailment β€œGrateful” for Support

One of Philadelphia's award-winning chefs remains hospitalized after surgery for injuries he sustained during the horrific derailment of Amtrak train 188 Tuesday night.

"I am grateful for the amount of concern and support from my family, friends, and colleagues," said Chef Eli Kulp. "I will continue to lean on your support in the weeks and months ahead as I work through recuperating from this injury."

On the night of the deadly Amtrak derailment, Kulp was admitted to Aria Health-Torresdale, where he immediately underwent surgery. He was cared for by "a dedicated team of surgeons and specialists," according to a spokeswoman. The severity of his injuries was not disclosed. Read the rest of this story on PBJ.com
