Cooper Medical School Receives $1.9M Diversity Grant

Cooper Medical School of Rowan University received a $1.9 million federal grant to help fund a program aimed at increasing the diversity of the health care workforce.

The three-year grant was awarded to Cooper Medical School from the Department of Health and Human Services through its “Health Careers Opportunity Program."

The money will support the Camden, N.J., medical school’s “Pathways to Success” initiative, which has a goal of developing a larger and more competitive pool of economically disadvantaged applicants interested in careers in medicine and other health care professions.
