There are changes afoot at the Courier-Post newspaper but management and employees appear to differ when it comes to defining the exact nature of them.
Multiple sources told the Business Journal that the Courier-Post will ask all of its newsroom employees to reapply for their jobs next month. But its parent company, Gannett Co., said the paper is merely redesigning newsroom positions.
Sources familiar with the situation said the South Jersey newspaper's plan is not specific to the Courier-Post, as many Gannett papers are conducting the same reinvention exercise.
