One Man Behind 2 County Crime Spree: Cops

Investigators believe the same man has burglarized several jewelry stores in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

Police investigating several burglaries in Bucks and Montgomery County believe the same man may be behind all of the crimes.

Jems Jewels and Gold at the English Village Shopping Center in Horsham, was burglarized early Wednesday morning and Horsham Police told NBC10 the crime has striking similarities to other thefts in the area.

There are signs the thief pried open the back door of Jems Jewels and Gold.

It's the same way a thief got into Mayfair Jewelers in Newtown Township on September 18th. The break in was caught on surveillance camera. The thief spent three minutes in the store, he smashed cases and helped himself to gold and silver rings. He got away with more than $100,000 in jewelry, according to investigators.

Police say they believe the Mayfair Jewelers thief is the same man caught on camera hiding inside a Montgomeryville Costco on Sept. 26. After the store closed, he used a television to smash jewelry cases. He got away with $90,000 in jewelry.

Police are not saying what was taken during the most recent burglary in Horsham.
