An old gray seal was found stranded on the beach in Seaside Park on Thursday.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine tells NBC10 Jersey Shore Bureau reporter Ted Greenberg that the seal is very emaciated and they are trying to get him to eat.
The seal weighs 350 pounds, but should be 200 pounds heavier.
Marine experts say the seal is old, and he has scars and wounds on his neck, which is probably from getting into fights with other male seals.
