Two officers were injured in a car crash Monday afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia while they were responding to a radio call to assist other officers during the scene of robbery, police said.

A 2nd Police District patrol car was rushing west on Cottman Avenue around 4p.m. when it struck a car moving north on Summerdale Avenue, according to officials.

Both officers were transported to Frankford Torresdale Hospital with injuries that were determined not to be serious. The driver of the car was not hurt.

The crash is still under investigation.
