A Wilmington police officer was hospitalized after being dragged by a car during a traffic stop.
It happened at 28th and Northeast Boulevard in Wilmington, Del.
The officer was making a traffic stop when the car he pulled over either struck him or the officer grabbed onto it, police said.
He was dragged about 50 feet.
The officer opened fire on the vehicle.
The officer is hospitalized with minor injuries and the driver is in custody.
