Obama Calls on New Jersey Voters to Back Booker in New Ad

Democratic U.S. Sen. Cory Booker is publicizing a new ad featuring President Obama ahead of Tuesday's election.

The 60-second radio spot features President Obama calling on New Jerseyans to vote for Booker and praising his support for a higher minimum wage.

Booker's campaign says it's the first ad by the president for the senator. It's significant because many Democratic candidates have distanced themselves from Obama, who has seen his approval ratings fall.

Booker is seeking his first full term after winning a special election last year. He's being challenged by Republican Jeff Bell.

Booker's campaign says the ad will run on radio stations across the state until Election Day. It wouldn't say how much it cost to run the ad, but said it is a "substantial and real buy."
