Gunmen Jump Out of Car, Shoot, Kill Man in North Philly

A man died from his injuries after a shooting in North Philadelphia Monday afternoon.

The 26-year-old victim was on the 2500 block of North Fairhill Street shortly after 4 p.m. when he was approached by three men inside a black sedan. After two of the men got out of the vehicle they all opened fire.

The victim was struck twice in the chest, three times in the back and once in the left wrist. The gunmen then went back into their vehicle and traveled northbound on Fairhill Street, police said.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m. 

Police have not yet released a detailed description of the suspects’ vehicle but say it has out of state New York or New Jersey tags.
