1 Hurt in North Philadelphia House Fire

At least one person was hurt during a house fire in North Philadelphia Tuesday night.

The fire started at a home on the 1600 block of West Lehigh Avenue around 9:15 p.m. Officials say at least one person was injured during the blaze and taken to Temple University Hospital. The victim’s condition has not yet been revealed.

The fire was placed under control at 9:54 p.m. Five people in all were displaced.

One neighbor told NBC10 he caught a woman who jumped from a window of the home.

"She was on the third floor and I just told her to jump," said Wynya Wheler. "It was just like that and I had to catch her. She jumped from the third to the second and I caught her from the second."

The cause is under investigation.
