Students Walk Out in Protest Following Nude Photo Scandal

Students at a suburban Philadelphia high school walked out after nude photos and videos of female classmates were allegedly shared online.

North Penn High School students left class around 11:15 a.m. Monday to show support for victims and ensure the school holds perpetrators accountable.

Towamencin police and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office are investigating. The photos allegedly appeared on file-sharing site Dropbox.

North Penn Superintendent Curtis Dietrich says the situation is of great concern.

He says they're looking for ways to stress the severity of such actions while reinforcing self-worth and smart decisions.

He's asking parents to talk about the dangers of inappropriately using technology.

High school Principal Burt Hynes says students should bring their concerns to him instead of breaking rules with a walkout.
