A young boy injured in a Norristown hit-and-run crash captured on surveillance video Wednesday afternoon is out of the hospital.
The 7-year-old boy underwent treatment for his injuries at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after the crash left him unconscious on the 1200 block of Oakwood Street near Selma just before 4 p.m. He was released from the hospital by Thursday morning.
The driver of a gold Toyota Camry who struck the boy was captured on surveillance video colliding with the young boy, who was riding his bike, and then reversing his vehicle to see what happened -- nearly running over the boy as he lay in the street -- and then fleeing the scene.
Authorities on Thursday were still searching for the driver. They found the Camry parked on Rosemont Avenue not far from the scene of the crash Thursday night.
Shaken neighbors who witnessed the crash described the harrowing moments that the boy was struck and nearly hit again to NBC10's Drew Smith on Wednesday.
"I heard a loud crash," said Sue Juliano. "I looked out the window and I saw this gold-colored Toyota."
Juliano shared her home surveillance video with NBC10 which showed the crash. The video shows the vehicle striking the boy as he rides in the middle of the street. The car keeps moving and then backs up about ten seconds later, nearly hitting the boy again as he laid on the street unconscious.

"It just threw itself in reverse and back down the alley it flew," Juliano said.
Juliano and others ran to help the boy who was bleeding from the back of his head.
"That's horrible," she said. "I don't know how anybody could hit a child and just keep on going."
Neighbors near where police later found the Camry said they saw the suspect driving erratically in the area. They also said he walked away casually after parking his vehicle. Police continue to search for the suspect.
