Norcross Teases, Praises Christie

One powerful New Jersey Democrat is standing behind Republican Gov. Chris Christie as the Republican's administration deals with scandal.

Powerbroker George Norcross on Wednesday praised Christie for doing more for Camden than any other governor of either party.

Camden is among the nation's most impoverished and crime-ridden cities.

Norcross complimented the governor at a groundbreaking ceremony for a new kind of school that Norcross' family foundation will help fund.

His kind words came only after he teased Christie about a scandal revolving around traffic jams near the George Washington Bridge.

Norcross says he, unlike the governor, has the power to shut down a bridge. The Ben Franklin is closed for a few hours each November for a charity-run sponsored by Norcross.
