No Injuries in NJ Transit Bus Fire

No one was injured when the engine compartment caught fire on a New Jersey Transit bus.

The bus was headed from New York to Cranford with ten passengers when the fire broke out on North Broad Street and Parker Road in Elizabeth on Thursday.

NJ Transit spokesman William Smith says the fire department extinguished the flames and the damage was confined to the outside of the vehicle.

The passengers continued their trip on another bus.
