Armed Men Hold Up Delaware Wawa

Two armed men held up two women working at a Delaware Wawa store early Tuesday.

The suspects, each holding a gun, entered the Wawa along E Chestnut Hill Road in Newark around 1:25 a.m. and demanded that a 44-year-old woman and 21-year-old woman working at the store empty the cash registers and safe, said Delaware State Police.

The employees cooperated and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the robbers, said police. The men then left the store.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Investigators described both men as being thin and standing around 6-feet tall. Both men wore dark clothing.

Anyone with information on the heist is asked to contact the Glasgow barracks at 302-365-8566.
