Hackers Strike New Jersey Town's Website 8 Times This Month

Officials say a northern New Jersey town's website has been hacked eight times this month.

Harrison Mayor James Fife tells The Jersey Journal that despite the infiltration's, the website doesn't contain private information and no sensitive material has been compromised.

He says it's almost impossible to determine why his town is being targeted.

Nick Ayala of Scan Worx, the company managing the website, says the hackers are highly intelligent criminals who seek to cause havoc and destruction in the cyber world. He says the company has put in hundreds of hours working to repair the website and add security features.
