There are nearly 401,000 homes and businesses without electricity. In some cases, those are households that had service restored after Superstorm Sandy only to see the lights go out again.
 
Public Service Electric & Gas is reporting 151,600 outages.
 
Jersey Central Power & Light is working to restore service to 237,574 customers, mainly in Ocean and Monmouth counties.
 
Atlantic City Electric is facing 6,118 outages, mostly in Atlantic and Burlington counties.
 
Orange & Rockland has 5,628 without service.
