Man Faces Murder Charges 37 Years Later

A Bucks County man who served time for a 1973 shooting was arrested again, for the same crime.

But this time, the charge is homicide.

Domingo Negron, 58, turned himself into Warminster Police Wednesday.

Joseph Kwiatkowski was shot and paralyzed during a 1973 fight in a Warminster bar. Negron was arrested back then and served time for assault and firearms charges.

After Kwiatkowski, 54, died in 2009 while he was living in Florida, a medical examiner reported his death was caused by injuries sustained from the bullet.

A grand jury announced on Tuesday their decision to recommend murder charges after a 14-month investigation.

Negron plans to fight the charges, according to defense attorney Craig Penglase.
