Nearly 2 Dozen Cars Burned in Fire

Nearly two dozen cars caught fire at outside a Northeast Philadelphia industrial facility.

Firefighters were called out to Rhodes Industries at the 10094 Sandmeyer Lane in the Buselton section of Philadelphia around 4 a.m. Tuesday, according to fire authorities.

About 20 cars parked inside a fenced in lot caught fire and suffered damage.

Firefighters placed the fire under control about 20 minutes after the call.

Crews on the scene tell NBC10 they do not believe the cars were occupied since there appears to have been some body work underway on the vehicles. No one was hurt.

Rhodes Industries specializes in metal fabrication, according to their website.

The Philadelphia Fire Marshal is heading to the scene to investigate the fire.
