About 935,000 Remain Without Power in NJ

Crews work to restore power to homes that lost power nearly a week ago as Sandy blew through the area

Roughly 950,000 homes and businesses in New Jersey remain without electricity in the wake of Sandy.

Utility crews have restored power to nearly two million customers since the storm hit last weekend.

Public Service Electric & Gas says it could be several days before service is restored to its remaining 493,000 customers. Of those customers: 14,800 are in Mercer County, 5,200 are in Burlington County and 4,100 are in Camden County.

Jersey Central Power & Light has 421,172 homes and businesses without electricity, while Atlantic City Electric is working to reconnect its last 1,000 customers.

Orange & Rockland reports about 20,000 outages in the northern Jersey counties it serves.

In Pennsylvania about 60,000 customers still didn't have power Sunday night.
