N.J. Mom, Baby Caught in Crossfire

Both were shot during a drive-by shooting in Trenton.

A 21-year-old New Jersey mother and her three-year-old daughter were shot during a drive-by shooting in Trenton on Wednesday night.

The pair were walking near the intersection of Calhoun and Passaic Streets around 8:46 p.m. when someone in a vehicle opened fire.

Police don't believe that the victims were the intended targets.

The mom was hit in the right side of her buttocks while her daughter was shot on her right arm.

The woman and her daughter were taken to separate hospitals. Police say their injuries are non-life threatening.

While Police don't have any description of the suspects, they believe they were driving a dark-colored vehicle.
