NJ Man Arrested, Charged With Kidnapping, Carjacking

Lindenwold police arrested 43-year-old George Meyers of Clementon after they say he tried to carjack two vehicles on Wednesday morning.

Police have arrested a man suspected of carjacking elderly drivers in Camden County.

Authorities believe Meyers used a box cutter and forced an older driver in Pine Hill to drive to Camden on Nov. 14. Police say the suspect took the victim's cellphone and $400.
 
Meyers also is accused of carjacking and robbing an older driver stopped at a light in Clementon on Nov. 24.
 
Meyers is charged with kidnapping and carjacking.
 
It's not known if he has a lawyer.
