NJ Community Leader's Death Ruled Homicide

Ronald "Blue" Bowman found tied up inside his apartment, sources say

The death of a beloved community leader in South Jersey has been ruled a homicide.

Ronald "Blue" Bowman, a Bridgeton, N.J. businessman, school board member and youth counselor, was found dead inside his apartment after he wasn't heard from for several days.

Sources tell NBC Philadelphia Bowman was found tied up inside his home at the Indian Run Apartments, but what killed him is still a mystery.

Bowman, 59, owned a popular clothing store called Blue Spot. His friends were obviously shocked by the man's death.

"He's been a mentor, you see him in church, no problems, just a real good guy," said Levi Feeney. "Its sad to hear what happened and I pray that whoever is responsible is prosecuted to the fullest."

An autopsy was performed on Bowman's body, but the results weren't immediately released. Bridgeton Police are asking anyone with information on the case to come forward.
