Murder Trial Begins for Delco ‘Shed' Shooting Suspect

The man accused of shooting and killing his Ridley neighbor over construction noise will go on trial for his murder Monday.

The murder trial for the man police say shot and killed his neighbor in a Delaware County town begins Monday.

The murder trial for Ridley resident James (Jim) Dellavecchia, 72, will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Media Courthouse.

Dellavecchia is accused of shooting and killing his 42-year-old neighbor Scott Robbins in October 2011. He also shot his neighbor's 23-year-old step-daughter.

Robbins was being picked up by a co-worker when Dellavecchia allegedly fired 10 to 15 shots, striking the victim four times before his step-daughter came outside.

Kristen Snow was shot once in the stomach.

Police believe Dellavecchia shot his neighbors over noise that was made while their shed was being built.
