Authorities have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a man found dead inside a car earlier this year.
Burlington County prosecutors announced Monday that 34-year-old Quinnizel Clark, of Belleville, is charged with murder and a weapons offense. He was arrested Friday and remains jailed on $500,000 cash bail.
The charges stem from the death of 68-year-old James Dewyer. He was found January 3 in a car parked in Mansfield Township.
Prosecutors say Clark and Dewyer were acquaintances who had spent time together earlier that day. They say Clark drove Dewyer's car to the site where it was found and shot him multiple times before fleeing on foot.
It wasn't known Monday if Clark has retained an attorney.
Dewyer's last known address was in Burlington Township.
