Murder-Suicide in Philly High-Rise

A man apparently shot and killed his wife before killing himself inside a luxury high-rise in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police say they were called to the eighth floor of the Museum Towers on Buttonwood Street near 18th Street around 8:30 p.m.

They found Rio Acosta Magden, 29, and Carlos Eugene Acosta, 30, dead in the front bedroom in what appeared to be a murder-suicide. Detectives believe Acosta shot Magden, then shot himself.

The Museum Towers are apartments located across the street from Philadelphia Community College.

No motive was given for the murder-suicide.
