Jerry Murray, 57, of Havertown, collapsed from a heart attack while performing in front of the judge’s table New Year’s Day.

Murray marched with the Wild Rovers New Year’s Association of the Murray Comic Club, named after his father, Joseph A. Murray, who initially sponsored the group, according to Philly.com.

He was named this year’s Best Comic Captain and his club took first place in the comic division.

Murray leaves behind his wife, a 24-year-old daughter, two sisters and a brother.
