Multiple injuries have been reported following an accident involving a bus and a car Wednesday morning in the Olney section of the city.
The accident between a Route 18 SEPTA bus and a car happened on Olney Avenue and 2nd Street just before 8:30 a.m., police said.
An eye witness told NBC10's Tim Furlong that the car slammed into the side of the bus causing it to hit several parked cars.
"It was bad...Just the car coming down 2nd Street. She must've fell asleep or wasn't paying attention and ran right into the bus," witness John Velez said.
The driver was taken to Einstein Medical Center.
Nine riders and the bus driver were also injured, according to authorities.
No word on how serious the injuries are.
