A motorcyclist was critically injured after authorities say he lost control of his Harley-Davidson this afternoon in Middletown, Del.

WATCH: Shooting Outside South Street Bar

Delaware State Police say 60-year-old Gary Brounce was driving north on Cedar Lane Road around 2:00 p.m. According to their preliminary investigation, his motorcycle drifted off to the right side of the road. Police believe Brounce may have over corrected and lost control of the bike.

Brounce and his motorcycle slid along the roadway and into an embankment.

Brounce was airlifted to Christiana Hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.
