Mother's Killing May Be Linked to Baby's Father

Police have been trying to determine whether a western Pennsylvania woman shot with her 5-month-old child nearby may have been targeted because the baby's father is jailed on charges he fatally shot one man and wounded others who belonged to a Pittsburgh motorcycle gang.

State police say 42-year-old Tara Bouie was found shot about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at the house she rented in Adams Township, Butler County.

Bouie's child wasn't harmed. The father of the child, 41-year-old Kenneth Harrison, was arrested at Bouie's house in September. He remains jailed on charges that he killed a man and wounded five others in a dispute with the Pittsburgh Gentlemen Motorcycle Club outside a Pittsburgh bar on Aug. 2.

Pittsburgh police say they're cooperating with the state police investigation of Bouie's death.
