Man Stabbed When He Answers the Door

According to police, a 36-yea-old man inside the Tremont Motel went to the door after someone knocked at around 7:45 p.m. Sunday. When he opened the door, he was stabbed several times by an unidentified male suspect.

The suspect then ran away from the motel which is right off of North DuPont Highway.

Delaware State Troopers report that the victim was taken by Ambulance to Christiana Hospital where he was treated for wounds to his torso and extremities that were not life-threatening.

Police continue to look for the suspect described as a black male, 6’1”, who may be armed with a knife.
