Montgomery County Sheriffs Arrest 11 Deadbeat Parents in Overnight Sweep: Police

Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office performed a “deadbeat sweep” on Wednesday, arresting 11 parents who allegedly owed over $100,000 in child support.

The parents collectively owed $126,218.63 in child support, police said. Two teams of deputies swept through Blue Bell, Glenside, Ambler, Norristown, King of Prussia, and other areas.

“One of the Sherrif’s Office priorities is to insure that deadbeat parents support their families,” Sheriff Sean Kilkenny said in a release. “It is a testament to the professionalism of our deputies that our office does not miss a beat on rounding up 11 deadbeats spread throughout the county, on the same day as the Cosby hearing.”
