Three high school seniors from the Philly Burbs probably looking for a "good time" before graduation let things get out of hand at the Jersey Shore as they allegedly turned to theft over Memorial Day Weekend, police said.
The teens are accused of stealing everything from ipods, cash and even saltwater taffy from parked cars in Ocean City, N.J., said local police.
Paul B. Hillier, 18, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., Jesse Fields, 18, of North Wales, Pa. and Nicholas Cymbala, 19, of Maple Glen, Pa. were arrested and charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy.
The trio allegedly went on the crime spree after drinking Sunday evening into Monday morning. The broke into at least five unlocked cars near the in O.C.'s North End.
They were caught around 4 a.m. Monday after an alleged victim tipped off police that a young man was stealing items out of cars along the 100 block of Asbury Avenue. The police nabbed the alleged thieves after a victim described the three guys who were swiping stuff out of cars.
Ocean City Police have a theory of why a trio of kids with no previous records allegedly turned to crime.
"They were probably down here looking to have a good time and sometimes when you're having a good time, things get out of hand," said Ocean City Police Lt. Steven Ang.

Hillier and Fields were arraigned Tuesday. Hillier used the opportunity to tell NBC 10 News that he wanted to apologize to the victims and that he had realized the mistake he made.
"They just made a bad decision this weekend at the Jersey Shore," said Lt. Ang.
