A Montgomery County mother who pleaded guilty to having sex with underage boys on her son’s football team was sentenced to up to 23 months in jail on Wednesday.
Authorities confirm to NBC Philadelphia that 37-year-old Jennie Lee of Abington pleaded guilty in April to statutory sexual assault and corruption of minor for having sex with her son’s 15 and 17-year-old teammates.
Although Lee admitted guilt, she also claims that the two victims blackmailed her into having sexual relations with them. She told the judge that they threatened to tell everyone in her son’s school and embarrass him, reports the Bucks County Courier Times.
Internet records and the criminal complaint tell a different story.
Lee was the one to initiate contact with the elder teen via Facebook, where the two would engage in sexual conversations, reports the Times.
For weeks after, Lee and the teen would meet for sexual encounters, according to authorities. Twice, the teen brought along his 15-year-old friend, who also participated in the encounters with Lee.
Lee, who is 18 years married, will serve between nine and 23 months.
“I forgive her although it was a rough time…She is the love of my life,” her husband told the court, according to the Courier Times.
