MontCo Wrestling Coach Charged With Child Porn

Prosecutors say an assistant wrestling coach in suburban Philadelphia has been arrested on charges of possession and dissemination of child pornography.

The Montgomery County district attorney's office said Monday that a tip to federal investigators last fall led to the arrest of 50-year-old Thomas Scott Porter of Hatboro.

Prosecutors alleged that more than 50 images of child pornography were found on his desktop and laptop computers.

Officials said Porter is an assistant wrestling coach at Neshaminy High School and a youth wrestling coach for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Wrestling team, which has practice facilities in several counties.

A listed number for Porter couldn't be found Monday and court documents did not list an attorney representing him. The school district and wrestling association didn't immediately return calls or messages seeking comment.
