Mobile Home Overturns, Catches Fire on Turnpike

The mobile home was being towed when it turned over and burst into flames

A mobile home overturns and catches fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Milford, Lehigh County.

The home was being towed by a truck when it overturned, just after 4:00 p.m., in the southbound lanes of I-476, about a mile and half before the Quakertown exit.

Crews were able to put out the fire, but it took a few hours to clean up the debris stuck in the road.

Several pictures of the fire were tweeted to NBC10.com by drivers stuck behind the accident, who got out of their cars to watch as the flames were put out.

No one was injured. All lanes re-opened around 7:00 p.m.
